Apparently he wants a change from the Premier league and our climate , and doesnt have an issue with our club , he wants a change of scenery , he hasnt caused any problems and always given 100% so good luck to the lad , hes had a few runs of poor form but most players do but in general has been a brilliant signing
As for his fee we will be lucky to get £30-40m in these Covid times , and not many clubs will match his wages, but he is a player approaching his prime years so a massive blow that he wants to leave , reminds me of Sane's situation the lad wants to return europe/home ,we will miss the little fella.

Barca and real have got fuck all money so that will be interesting to see where they will get money from which then leaves athetico Madrid which could throw in some of there players .

Doesn’t really bother me either way. There are only 3 irreplaceable players for me. De Bruyne, Foden, Dias.

The restaurants in Manchester are alright but nothing compared to Paris, London, Tokyo, Madrid etc. Generally capital cities cater for the rich very well.

For footballers they’d love/enjoy going to fashion catwalks, gigs, high end casinos I’d imagine. I don’t know this world but I would assume Paris is a bit more happening in the high end of society than Manchester mate.

Anyway, as I said in my previous post, I very much doubt this is the true reason for Bernardo wanting out.

I think the lad knows what’s happens when we sign a striker, his performances this year won’t count for much. KDB and Aguero being out were a godsend for him as he was utilised and showed what he brings to a team. Would be a big loss imho.

Hes too slow to be a really great player. Great engine and all that, Goal threat? Not really.
Good move for Player and club.

It’s not the Harlem Globetrotters ffs, he has been asked to do a job this season and he has done it as good as anyone. Not sure people understand a team cannot function on goals and assists alone. To get Peps favourites in the team he has been the fall guy. When KDB wasn’t fit he played and the midfield actually looked better.

As KDB is absolute class as an individual it is a head scratcher but aguero was injured we played a false 9 and by chance it solved the problem somewhat.

I think Dinho gundog Silva works better than Rodri gundog KDB and this isn’t a slight on any of those players. If we sign a striker then we ain’t dropping KDB so he’s back to square one. I understand the lads predicament. Personally I would love him to stay and play in midfield or in competition with Mahrez. He probably doesn’t see it happening.

I understand the lads predicament. Personally I would love him to stay and play in midfield or in competition with Mahrez. He probably doesn’t see it happening.

This got me thinking about our best midfield combinations, so I looked into the stats for PL and CL games.

We only played Fernandinho, Gündy and Bernardo as a midfield three in three games, although we did win all three.

We had two main midfield combinations that appeared together more than 5 times:

Rodri, Bernardo and Gündy played 14, won 12 (86% win rate), scored 36, conceded 13

Rodri, De Bruyne and Gündy played 12, won 9 (75% win rate), scored 22, conceded 5​

Slightly muddied by De Bruyne and Bernardo appearing as false-9s in a number of games, admittedly.

Of the 14 PL and CL games that Fernandinho started, we only lost two (both times Rodri started alongside Fernandinho).

We only lost 3 of the 24 games De Bruyne started, and 4 of the 25 Bernardo started.

Rodri, Bernardo and De Bruyne only started together as a three on three occasions, winning two.
