Really good signing for City. The meltdown is in full flow in here. Some embarrassing posts, the toys are being thrown out of the pram. City were always going to spend big this summer, they were going to bring in some quality. We need to see what United do. I'm sorry but I genuinely don't think he would have went to them if we wanted him. He's Portuguese, mendez is his agent and United are so much bigger. We are looking for something else, let's wait and see. I'm more interested who city are going to bring in at the back and in nets. We won a European trophy two nights ago and the amount of spoilt fans in here is a disgrace. I believe in Jose and Woodward, they got the right recruitment in last year. We are in a much better position this time around, people should be more optimistic. Being jealous of a small club that can't even fill there stadium and won feck all again, going to be a fecking summer for some.

im confused he starts off with a really good signing for city then double back to state that if they wanted him he would have picked them.....then fill the stadium, like thats something new....

Why
43 Silva
35 Fabihno
25 Mendy

Unless you think Nasri is only worth 3 million. I'd say 110 million gets all 3 with change. And they'd all would have gone for fair prices.

Its only on here that folks think everyone should cost 50 million and above. In the real world 30 million is very competitive.

not looking for a fight mate lol

was just going off that £30m seems to be the average now for any type of top player, so was just stating that need a bit more than £100m. i think Mendy and Fabinho will go for the same price as Silva, around the £40m mark. and i think Nasri will go as a free to get him off the wage bill (if his loan period to Sevilla wasnt already a permanent deal like Dzeko and Jovetic's were)

The Telegraph.

- Make the fee as big as possible, check

- "ideal for Pep Guardiola's obsession with ball-retention."

- However the lure of working with Pep Guardiola coupled with the financial incentives that City have offered have seen the 22-year-old pick the blue side of Manchester.

I'm left with the impression their writer is one of those "never liked him anyway" United fans.

Only really came to my attention this year when we played Monaco and he just oozed class. Would love the original and still the greatest Silva to play on for years to come but this lad is a perfect replacement. Never thought we had a chance in getting him a quality addition if it comes off.
