You just wonder. Bernardo must know in what a shite situation the once great Barca are. Although it’s clubs like Barca and Real that seems to get money from Neverland when they are in financial trouble. Obviously with FIFA/UEFA looking the other way.

Than again it could very well be non football reasons that trigger his decision. But even he must have a smile on his face looking at the
at that club and their media forcing to try and keep the mighty image going.

Think it's inevitable that we will see Bernie at Barcelona soon.
24th Agust is my prediction.

And that is fine, sell Bernardo, move on. If we can get around the £43m we paid for him, that will be good business. We should be happy with it, enough to cover the transfer fee we paid. Player wants out, no point keeping him. Palmer can replace him, or another academy kid. Take the money and the squad place.

He is older now, age depreciation means only 30 35 million

To be honest mate, with Amortisation we can accept less than that and still show a profit on the player.

His original contract at £43m spread over the five years he signed for amortised at a value of £8.3m per year.

He extended for another 6 years in 2019 (after 2 years of the original) - by which time his original fee had amortised down to £25.8m. That extension was for six years, at a value of £4.3m per year.

Three years have gone since then - which means his original fee has now amortised down to £12.9m

So in reality, anything above that figure shows as a profit on the books.

When you look at it like that, any offer over £20m we should take the money and run!
