Looks like we are finally getting fit as a club. It will be good to have some more options out there! This looks to be a strong reserve squad.
Anyone going? Any chance of updates?

Benjani back for Blues

CITY striker Benjani will step up his return from a long-term leg injury when he lines up for the reserves against Blackburn tonight.

Benjani has made only 10 appearances for the Blues this season and last played in the 2-1 defeat against West Brom on December 21.

Daniel Sturridge, also recovering from injury, will play as will Darius Vassell and Javier Garrido in a strong looking side, report <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.mcfc.co.uk</a>.

City: Gunnar Nielsen, Shaleum Logan, Javier Garrido, Ben Mee, Glauber Berti, Angelos Tsiaklis, Darius Vassell, Adam Clayton, Benjani, Daniel Sturridge, Vladimir Weiss.

Substitutes: Clayton McDonald, Tobias Johansen, Ryan McGivern, David Ball, James Poole.

Lost 1-2. Was not the most entertaining evening I've spent. Very cold and very wet!

So how did Benjani, Sturridge, Berti and RSC perform?

Berti looked comfortable at CB up against Roque Santa Cruz's identical-brother Julio, not really at fault for either goal IMO.

Darius nearly had his career ended by Munn, who by all the laws of the game should have got a red card.

Benjani & Sturridge came off after 10 minutes in the 2nd half without distinguishing themselves at all against a high Blackburn defensive line.

PS Nielsen has a very loud voice
