Unless you lived there you would have no reason to. It is the epitome of an overspill estate with one way in one way out

I've spent time in Langley and my grandad lives there to the day. He's just off Wood Street. My main issue with Midd is using public transport to get in to town. The roads can be deadlocked sometimes. I looked at flats in Rhodes but Midd is too far out if I want to work in Manchester itself.

Despite liking Failsworth lots, I think I'm coming to the end of my time there. It's like a retirement village sometimes in terms of everyone being really, really old. If I go out for a beer locally then it's just older fellas. They're all great but I barely know anyone my own age. I'm looking at property all the time.

If I do leave Manchester then I'll go to Cardiff.

If I visit the few bits of family I have there then I do go out around Langley in the few remaining pubs. Never a problem. Everybody is ok.

Last time I went to Altrincham a couple of years back it was awful - really weird feel to the place in the evening.
I went again a few weeks back and its really smartened its act up, there was a good vibe about the place, though this was Saturday day time.
Not sure what its like in the evenings.
