Is it not near enough impossible to choose, so many midfield options.

I'd want Laporte LB maybe but Gvardiol and ahem Kolarov have a shot.

Choosing 1 or 2 out of Haaland, Tevez and Aguero is insane.

Sane and Sterling have a shout on the wings.
 
I don't know how they fit together in a cohesive XI ... but Kev, Merlin, Yaya, and Rodri are at the top of our 11 'best' players ever imo

My toughest choice was who to partner Kompany, peak Stones or peak Dias. I think both were better than peak Laporte. But i can see how opinions may differ. Peak Cancelo was easily best LB for me. And the 5 midfielder are unmatched in terms of talent and peak for me. The Statue Legends is how i see them.

Im shocked how few have Dihno on their list. It used to be cause for abuse here if you thought anyone was better than Dihno. :) Time and perspective have changed opinions it seems.

Agree with you re Fernandinho, you do get a recency bias with most things and I’d never argue with anyone who’d rather pick Ballon D’or winner Rodri over him as Rodri has been exceptional these last few years but for me personally, Ferna will always be the king in that position and gets the nod from me.

Agree with your assessment of our fantastic four… and then you include Sterling in the team! lol. His misses against Burnley and Lyon were off the scale!

Sane (Just shaded out Stering - sorry Raheem; you drove me to distraction too often)

So, next season, we'll have only 3 of them - assuming that Stones stays.
