Depeche mode last night in manchester, absolutely fantastic from start to finish, they was on for two hours, hit after hit after hit, played a bit of the old stuff like black celebration, behind the wheel,a question of time, policy of truth..etc....dave gahan had the crowd eating out of his hand, they've always put on energetic shows and last night was no different...
Been going for over 33 years but still kick arse every time they get on stage....

Yeah they were amazing that night.

My best gig is Interpol at the empress ballroom.

But today I got some tickets to Nine Inch Nails (best band I ever watched by a mile) at the MEN so I might be back in this thread on May 29th.

Easy one for me this Pink Floyd New Bingley Hall Stafford 31-03-1977.

Words can't describe how good this show was both musically with the Floyds famous "Azimuth Generator" and quad sound and the quality of the music they performed, and then off course there were all the frills like lasers, an exploding inflatable pig, the modern family, a crashing stukar plane into the stage, and loads of pyrotechnics on the stage.

The first thing that struck me when I walked into the Hall was full banks of speakers like you get to either side of the front stage, but down both sides and a huge as big as the speaker bank at the front but all along the rear wall. I can't put into words what I concert experience it was truly awesome and memories I'll take to my grave!!

Setlist

Part One

The whole of the Animals album

Interval where the crew erected the giant circular screen

Part two

The Whole of the Wish You were here album

Encore

Money

Went to Sheffield Arena to see REM, as they were about to come on the gig was cancelled due to an illness within the band.
The tickets were valid for the rearranged gig the following year and they didnt disappoint, Michael Stipe's opening line was "we owe you guys one" and they were nothing short of breathtaking !

Joe Strummer at The Carousel/International on Plymouth Grove. Top night.

Also a small venue at the OTHER International venue (used to be Genevieve's)

The band were called Book of Days for the evening. Guess who it really was?

One of the worst gigs I ever saw was REM at Milton Keynes: they were truly rotten and apparently admitted as much the following night at the same venue.
