There is no PL football to talk about and I read this^^^^^ in the Mail. So who is the best ever England player?
 
It says 'Lionheart' in the article title, so not for footballing ability, but as a leader on the pitch. This iconic image is from the Sweden vs England WC qualifier in '89. We got the draw that confirmed qualification for Italia '90. When Bryan Robson got injured (again!) in the 2nd match he took over the captaincy and led us to the Semi-Final. So take a bow Terry Butcher.
