You are right that most are either Pakistani or Bangladeshi.
Indique which I mentioned earlier is a genuine Indian restaurant.

Another vote for Armani - Hurst Cross (Used to be the Turnpike Hartshead Estate)
Nothing wrong with Zing and Zest Ashton either and it's cheaper. But Armani is near perfect.

I prefer Aamchi in Cheadle to TTR only because there is more room at Aamchi and you don't feel like you are sat on the next table although both are great. The original partner in Aamchi has just opened a new place in Bramhall which I am trying soon - it's called Bombay to Mumbai
