Ah right, my bad - the BBC match report from the 3-3 does mention that Kolarov and Balotelli were involved in an altercation but no idea what it was over then.

Yes, it was over who took a free kick but we didn't score from it. They were the heroes anyway that day, Mario scored the other two goals.

The vid you posted of Kolarov scoring a free kick was from the following season, 12/13.
