Best Live Performance In Your Opinion?

Gotta be this for me. A band at the top of their game playing in the stadium they love. Nothing better being a blue.

I agree, first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title.

tyer

Well after bothering to retype that address it told me the video was unavailable. If it was Oasis at our place well they were shite and I had a backstage pass...fucked off back to the pub half way through the set.

Simple Minds 'Live In The City Of Light' is amazing, most songs sound better than the album versions.

So true. Had the CD for years and finally found the DVD.

And Peter Gabriel "Growing Up" is good too.

Queen, Live Aid, Radio GaGa, where he has the crowd int he palm of his hands is brilliant. However, the first song that came to my mind (because I thought it was about actually SEEING IT LIVE IN PERSON) was U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name."

Often it has more to do with the crowd reaction than the singing, and my personal fave of this song was in Chicago (of course!), but this version at Slaine Castle is pretty spectacular....

as is the version from Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, seen in Rattle and Hum.

Another personal fave was "Eton Rifles" from the The Jam at the Apollo in November '79. I was 16, full of piss and vinegar and the song had just broken out into the charts the night fo the concert. Place was rockin'!

I also love this Florence video from L.A.'s Wiltern Theater. Unbelievable voice!

Two that you can still see on a regular basis are Joe Bonamasa and Vintage Trouble. Both are breathtaking live.

I have seen Prince twice, once at Maine Road where he was pretty average and at the O2 Arena where I think I actually cried.

This clip is superb!
