I've been having a youtube floyd fest today. There are some great clips from live gigs in the early 70s where you can hear dark side being worked out before they went into the studio. Fantastic to hear Any colour you like evolving in the various gigs.

Anyway to the point. I have for some time had an internal debate about which is the best PF Album. My top two are Dark Side and Animals. I think of the two I could leave Animals on repeat for longer than Dark Side, mostly due to Money which gets on my tits after a while.

So there you have my view, how about the rest of you. oh........ Ok then......................Discuss!

p.s. If you don't like pink floyd could you make your view know by not contributing to the thread please?

Not a Floyd fan, never 'got' most of their stuff. BUT! Even an 'outsider' like myself can appreciate, and love one song, and most of one album; Shine On You Crazy Diamond, and Wish You Were Here in general is superb.

Far easier to say what I don't like as they have been so consistently good.

I love practically everything after Barrett left, apart from The Final Cut, and even that wasn't terrible.

I'll go for Wish You Were Here.

Tough one this but I'd have to say 'The Best of Pink Floyd'

Thanks. I was thinking of original albums rather than compilations. Is there a "Best of Pink Floyd"?

That's a paraphrase on Alan Partridge's favourite Beatles' album :@)
