Best Pink Floyd Album?

I am surprised that Animals is that popular!
It is my favourite Floyd album but assumed that it was not that well liked. None of my friends rate it.

Second choice is a close call between Wish you were here and Dark Side.

Has to be Dark Side of the Moon, closely followed by Wish you were here

Absolutely correct. Like andy h says, I'm staggered that Animals has so much support. Its not a bad album but could never be my Floyd number 1

And the the beauty of it. Ten years ago I would have said Dark Side and here I am now saying Animals. Ask me again in ten years and I'm sure it will change again.

And Meddle, with the superb Echoes, doesn't even get a mention

I'm a huge fan of Roger so I'm going with WYWH, then The Final Cut which is one of those albums I can put on to make myself depressed in a nice sort of way.

Think I might go and listen to his Pro's and Cons of hitchiking now.

Massive fan so it's hard to choose. I agree about Pulse though, even though I'm more of a Roger fan. Final Cut is brilliant, but I'm probably in minority there. DSOTM, yes but probably the pulse version rather than the studio one. WYWH and Animals are favorits as well - Dogs is probably one of my favorite tracks, but there are loads.

I really couldn't pass on Live 8 y'know. The only time the entire Pink Floyd, sans Barrett of course, performed in my lifetime felt to big to miss. Flew to London with a mate and payed shitloads for a ticket but it was well worth it. =)

1. The Wall
2. Animals
3. Dark Side Of The Moon
4. Momentary Laspe Of reason

Only my opinion though..... I do like some of the really early stuff, saucer and piper are pretty cool albums, need to be in the right mood to listen to them though.

Has anyone ever done the done the DARK SIDE OF OZ where you watch wizard of oz while listening to dark side of the moon on repeat, its full of sycnchronicities, it is online somewhere to watch, think i found it thru wiki.

piper and saucer full of

dark side is gorgeous but depressing and I remember every dopey teenager butchering wish you were here on an acoustic guitar growing up.
