Until we're playing Champions League football the likes of Messi , Torres , Xavi or Kaka or won't want to know ......... players like that 'need' to stay in the world spotlight , and they need to be in Europe to do that , preferably at the highest level in their eyes!

Other than that it would have to be for the money , but players like that don't really need it.

Agree with Black Mamba! I reckon top shit players only want to play for top shit clubs (ie Barca, Real, AC Milan (even more so than Inter or Juve even though they're not as high up as them in Serie A), United, Liverpool etc)

if we can land someone from a good German club, maybe, but i think even the likes of Ribery will be looking at United (if Ronaldo leaves) or Real (if Ronaldo doesnt leave)! It is unfortunate but thats the way it is! City are nowhere near that level, reagrdless of the money, we may not even get into the UEFA Cup this season and that will hinder us getting anyone decent in the summer too!
