without spending silly money has anyone got any thoughts on which is the best smart tv to buy to use with an iptv subscription

@shevtheblue uses an LG i believe through the smart iptv app so maybe he can give you some pointers, personally I'd save a lump sum of money and buy a decent box
which box do you recommend, bearing in mind its for streaming the 3 oclock kick offs, used to have an android mx box, finished up taking an axe to it!

Haha I can only really recommend the best I've used for price and good specs, that's a h96 Pro plus, a few on here have bought one and are happy, there's a link in recet pages on kodi thread from www.geekbuying.com, about £48

On the IPTV site I use, they reckon smart TVs aren't too clever for watching IPTV, they recommend getting a box.

I have just this minute ordered this mini PC with with windows 7 installed to plug in to the TV in the bedroom. It'll run KODI and IPTV without a problem it's got a decent sized hard drive and if you just want a box that covers your entertainment or casual browsing it'll do the job just nicely.

nVidia Shield TV is pucker, and you can run games on it too. More expensive that a cheapy chinese thing of course, but not a lot of money in the scheme of things.

I can stream 4k content off any dodgy server with sufficient bandwidth and it plays beautifully. 1080p live broadcasts are a doddle.
