Thinking of joining a Union, does anyone have any advice on which to join/avoid?

What type of work do you do mate? Different unions cover different sectors. For instance, if you work in the retail industry then Usdaw is probably the one for you. If you work in the public sector then UNISON would be best. Go on the TUC website (tuc.org.uk) and you can probably get advice on there.

Christ it didn't take long did it? The lad was asking a serious question but some on here just can't wait to pile in with their anti-union bile as per fucking usual.
Every thread that mentions trade unions and some just feel unable to resist. Tedious in the extreme.

Unite but only if there strong in your company, officially there all shit with my work head on but the way things are join a good one there's to many companies sailing close to the wind and getting away with it
