Best War Movie

Not a film but Band of Brothers was exceptional.

more recently, Dunkirk and 1917 were very good.
Platoon, The Deer Hunter.
Where Eagles Dare
3 Kings.

I think Band of Brothers trumps all war films to be honest.

This is def the best war film IMO, but some of the others are also up there.

Nor “Battle of Britain”. Which is a classic.

Some absolute classics but for me it's a close call between Saving Private Ryan, American Sniper and 1917.

I also loved a South Korean war film that translates to Brotherhood. Superb film if you don't mind subtitles.

Fury and Hurt Locker were also exceptional movies.
