Just a cheap publicity stunt!

I bet he's only taken a few quid on the scum, so no big deal!

Mind you, if I'd done a few quid on them myself, I'd be down there like a shot to collect and wouldn't be seen for dust if we managed somehow to pull it off!

Why do bookies do this?

Is there a financial reason or is it just a publicity stunt? If it is the latter it has worked cos that ugly rag's smug face is all over the news

Fred, a lifelong United supporter, lost £500,000 in 1998 when he was the first bookie ever to pay out early on the Premier League title winners.

United were 12 points clear of Arsenal when he paid out to his delighted punters but the invincible Gunners bounced back to pip the Reds.

Fred Done said: "Even with the Derby to come a five point lead is just too much for City, so once again I’m letting my United punters have their dough early to the tune of just over half million quid.

“Back in 1998 Fergie told me to never pay out early again but Sir Alex need not worry, I’ve not got it wrong this time, United are past the post for a record twentieth Premier League title.”

Fred said that despite writing off City for this season, he thinks the Blues will win it next season - he has installed them as 7/4 favourites for next season’s Premier League.
hahaha, i hope it blows up again in this cunts face!!

Needs to get his facts right.

lol baconchops will be absolutely fuming with this, not only is it farcically premature and tempting fate but it reminds everyone that utd once blew a 12 point lead! plus slur told him never to do it again!

cheers Fred!

They do it so people reinvest their winnings, it's a calculated gamble on Done's behalf. He hopes to recoup some of his losses by paying out early. The odds are he is right but I'm surrendering nothing until it's impossible.

should stick this article in the changing room for the players to see.

probably just adding to the mind games as he does'nt need the publicity now has taken over the Tote.

I'll be having my bet with him that city still win the league, probably get good odds after QPR roll over and sink at the swamp.

CAMPIONIES!!!! OLE OLE OLE

It's in the bag. Cheers you daft rag twat.

I remember after Stoke I think drew their first Prem game under Pulis in the 2008-09 season, PaddyPower payed out on all bets saying Stoke to be releagted only for them to comfortbaly finish 12th!

I'm not calling you an idiot, but I'd have checked before posting.

I thought after their nobhead fans singing they was going to win the league it could come back to haunt them but after this latest rag gobshites trick then surely the law of average says he's going to end up with egg on his chin....
We are going to win the league on the last day on goal difference....

Fred Done = Cocky tw*t.

There is a massive irony here. I recall fred, on sky sports, at the start of the season saying that City were certs for the title.

What a mug.

Oh how times have changed:

Paddypower Premier League Relegation Odds

Hull 2/5
Stoke 4/9
West Brom Evs
Fulham 5/2
Bolton 5/2
Wigan 3/1
Sunderland 5/1
Man City 7/1
9/1 bar

I seem to recall him paying out on United in 1998 only for Arsenal to sneak in and take it by one point.
