Better Call Saul

Same, I think it is a bit like Nolan's works, better the second time and pick up on a lot more that either doesnt make sense at the time or is just missed out.

My issue was the two filler omaha episodes. I think they were meant to give the audience a pace break, give the feeling of time passing. And they always said they wanted the same number of episodes as BB, so filled a bit. But I just felt they could have been completely omitted, and launced straight into the final 2 and it wouldn't have made the slightest bit of difference.

I haven’t seen them yet but can defo say one thing - there is never anything in BCS that could’ve been left out, everything is relevant, even if only on a very minor basis.

Wholly disagree. Those Omaha episodes were brilliant and integral to the story. Essentially despite his fake life on the run and quiet job, he can't help being a thieving conman bastard, and this is what ultimately leads to his undoing. They could not have omitted they were crucial

They were not 'crucial' that is a bit of a stretch. They didn't really tell us anything we didn't know or couldn't figure out, those blanks have neen filled in before a number of times.

The bigger impact of them was the effect on the pace, slowing it right down and giving a sense of passage of time, rather than just fast forwarding to the end. Rather than anything in their isolated storyline itself. It was a delay and breather part. The phone call with Kim being the most meaningful bit.

Anyway, it was a pretty minor irritation and comment, it doesn't take away from an otherwise great season and show overall.

Dickhead line at the end pal. Well done on shitting on an otherwise good post.
Not being a dick honestly. Read it again and you're right it may look like that, sincere apologies, not my intention. I meant it like maybe go and watch it back again. I was rushing to type while eating grub quickly during 5 mins in a busy day at work. Hope that clears it up, cheers

Fair enough, thanks for saying, no worries at all.

Stating the obvious but jimmy could have been an amazing ‘straight’ lawyer.
Reminds me of my pal who is a second hand car dealer and always has to be a bit bent. He got offered a top sales job at audi but turned it down because he said he’d be bored

Makes me think of jimmy. He would be a top lawyer , but enjoys being dodgy too much

I’ll be honest up until the final black and white episodes it was brilliant, I just felt the pace etc dropped off and well it was a bit of let down. I don’t know what I expected and I suppose the twist at the end was a surprise, over all I thought it was up there with BB and fitted in brilliantly with that story. Saul over now, I wonder what Gilligan will do now.
Thinking about it now, when series finish after been so good I think I always feel slightly disappointed, GOT was similar I think when something has been so good my expectation for a great last episode seems not to be reached but maybe that’s because you can’t please everyone.
