Better Call Saul Almost Had A Very Different Ending
Co-creator Peter Gould explains why it changed.

Is it really that good? You absolute bastard.
Finally got around to finishing it and I thought it was just incredible. Vince Gilligan is just a master of his craft in my opinion. There isn't a single wasted scene or shot in the entire thing. Everything has some meaning to it. Very satisfying ending to one of my favourite ever shows. Sad it ended but hopefully not the last we see of the Breaking Bad universe.
I’d love to see an origin story about Gus FringVG was interviewed newsnight last week and said he had no plans to produce any more in this universe and that he wanted to prove he wasn't a one trick pony by making new stuff not connected to BB or BCS.
There aren't any major loose ends to tie up either. Every major character's story arc has reached their conclusion.
So you essentially are left with flashbacks and retcon tie-ins like Rogue One. The quality of the storytelling doesn't need to be in the sphere of Goodman, Fring or White to improve it.
