I just wonder what outcome there would have been had Stones been in sky blue t'other week in the first leg and he had scythed down Lukaku at the death. Would Stelling, Nicholas and Howie Redshirt have maintained their idiotic stance of no pen!

Agreed. Obvious choice to address our defensive issues. Money should be no object.
However, whilst a forward was not a priority - 4 million for Austin was a chance missed. Can only assume he didn't want to move far away for family reasons.
