Onuoha has planned to stay at City and turn down PSG because he believes that City will one day be BIGGER then Madrid.

Im glad he's staying. If he can stay injury free, he will be a very big player for us in the future.

We may one day be in the rags postion ...... a club that just think's its bigger than Real Madrid ........ but even if we spend every penny that the Sheik possesses , neither of us will ever truly be able to match the inflated ego of Real Madrid ....... that's just not possible!

As for Onuoha , nice loyalty ....... but what good is it when he's never fit?

As big as... Anythings possible with the finances we currently posess...

Looks like hes progressing and maturing all the time, really hope he makes it with us.

I concur. He's a top lad and has got the potential to be a top class defender. Shame about his injury record though.

i honestly believe that the guys at ADUG will not be happy untill we have broken all the records and have overshadowed every other club so i do think it will happen and i do think that we will be the first in prem to win every game in league

I can't see any team ever acheiving that feat personally... i think a lot would rely on luck.

I'll have whatever you're smoking.

Glad Ned is staying put, he has always said he wanted to, shame he can't put two games together as I have always said he is our best defender at the minute.

Why not?

With the finances we have, in a couple of years we will be starting in the Champions League and then who knows.

I can't see anyone else in European Football who has the potential except us.

No matter what we do we'll never be as big as Man U, Liverpool, Madrid, Barca, AC Milan, Juventus, Bayern etc etc. Their reputation has been built on decades of European succes. We're exactly like Chelsea, we may be able to afford to compete with these clubs on the playing field at some point but in terms of stature we'll always be looking in from the outside. It's nothing to be disappointed or ashamed about, it's just the truth.

I see where you are coming from but I disagree, you state that they are built on decades of European success, well that rules out the rags unless simply qualifying does it for you. They have only won it 3 times in 40 years (throw in a uefa cup in the 90's) any way thats by the by
If we were to develop and become the team we would all like and then say win 3 european cups on the trot while dominating the english league we would be considered there for the long haul and would not be looking in from the outside as you put it. All about opinions but thats mine

Actually, I'd like to think that if we spend the next 20 years winning domestic and European trophies we will be exactly like the clubs you mentioned...a club is not born with it's history, it creates it's own history...

And anyway, prior to 1992-1993 season, when did the rags win the league? I don't recall...same with the Europe...prior to 1999, when was their last European Cup win?

I"m not saying that we can immediately garner the same respect as those clubs, but to say "No matter what we do, we'll never be as big as Man U"....? Hmm, well, I don't agree with that...

Absolutely.

It wasnt that long ago, and people tend to forget, that we were as big if not bigger than United, so there is no reason to think that we cant be again.

I really do think, with our money and a couple of years in the Champs League, we will be talked about in the same breath as those mentioned.
