Billy Sharp Attacked on the pitch v Forest

All this is going to result in the supporters being forced further away from the pitch than we already are.

Clubs will be told to rip up the seats from the 1st 5 or 6 rows so that anti pitch invasion barriers can be installed. All because a few people cannot behave in an adult manner.

An intimidating ground were supporters are very close to the action can act as a leveller and also create a good atmosphere. Another nail in the coffin in that regard incoming.

Also there's something nice/romantic about seeing or being involved in a pitch invasion now and again. An FA Cup underdog winning, a playoff semi final like the forest v Sheffield United one and of course winning a league title on goal difference ahead of your neighbours are all emotionally charged situations where a pitch invasion is fitting. It'd be a shame to see the authorities go to great lengths to stop them happening now and again.

I don't believe they will ever put barriers up again, it may however prevent the safe standing from taking place (Although there is no correlation between the two things) and of course stiffer sentences for idiots who jump onto the pitch.

Not a chance that the dippers will do this. However the rags have already received a petition to remove the first 100 .

Oli McBurnie has stomped on more human beings than he has league goals the last two seasons

He cost £18m
