My lad uses his blackberry for sending texts to his mates, he says its free as he uses BBM yet when I check the bill he is charged, a lot, for the texts.

I have nt a clue when it comes to things like this, is it free or not ?

He can only send BBM messages to his mates who have blackberry phones. Any normal text message will get charged like anyone else. Tell him to get whatsapp and he can send texts/pics/videos for free to anyone on android/blackberry/iphones.

Is it definately the texts which are costing? BBM is completely free so long as you have internet on your phone

As Wayne suggests.... tell him to download WhatsApp for his phone.
