Blackburn Fan in Peace

We bought him for only £400,000 similar to when we bought Samba for the same amount. Let's hope his value rises and rises the longer he is with us, just like Samba.

Value of players is only relative when you come to sell. Then you will be pissed off because of your best players being sold. Suspect you made 14m on RSC but can you honestly say you were glad to see back of him!!!!!!

What did you think of Steven Nzonzi in the middle for Blackburn yesterday. Tall lad he had bright green boots on. He's only 20 and he came from a french second division side. It was his first premiership game and I thought he did well in midfield against, Robinho, Barry and Ireland. We bought him for only £400,000 similar to when we bought Samba for the same amount. Let's hope his value rises and rises the longer he is with us, just like Samba.

I was impressed with one of your stewards at the City end.
He couldnt wait to pop any inflatable that landed his way.
It was hilarious to watch as about 6 or 7 inflatables hit him at once for him to be stabbing like in a hitchcock movie.
He had his eye on a huge inflatable banana and had his keys out at the ready when a female steward intervened and told him it belonged to a young blue near the front.

However back to the match, obviously very pleased with the result, and it was hoof it and hope football of the highest order for Rovers.
when BFS was at Bolton I think he started to phase that out of Boltons game after a good few years when he signed the likes of Djorkaeff and the wookie (campo).
Good luck in your season, hope you finish in a decent position.

I was there in the lower tier. I thought we would win but i have to say rovers gave us a couple of scares . I think we will get better , what i was glad to see from city was we didn't panic and belt the ball anywhere when you had periods of possession. I don't think many teams will take points of you at ewood though. all 't best!

As it is my first visit here I am looking forward to the banter and like all City fans I am looking forward to the new season. If last Saturdays match is anything to go by then we are in for a nail-biting season.
Yes the game was a good result for City and the first goal in less than three minuets By Adebaior was welcome and the start that us long suffering city fans needed.
But he seemed slow to get back and seemed to have a lack of willingness to make that extra effort to get a ball that was not played to his feet at times.
City seemed like there old selves in defence and struggled at times.
It was only by luck they did not finish the first half not behind. That was down to Given pulling off some saves.

I don’t know about the rest of the city fans. But Dunn scares the life out of me. I do not know it if over eagerness on his part. But there were a few tackles on any given Saturday he would have been booked for or at worst sent off. The handball well even I seen the ball played him and not he the ball. But then again on any given Saturday the ref would be pointing at the spot and he would have been sent off with the dodgy tackles and a handball.

The second half they were under the cosh again. The two occasions that a Blackburn defender blocked Givens view and then ran just as the ball was about to be kicked.
City where caught out as the player ran out. To have allowed this twice was unbelievable. All they had to do was close the gap as he ran out he could not have ran back onside.

But I am not all doom and gloom and I am trying to remain realistic regarding City. I do think they will do better this season how much better will depend on how the defence performs. It would be nice to see them try prefect the offside trap that caught Bellamy on a few occasions.
Yes City won the game 2-0 if the first goal by Adebaior was shear skill
Then the second By Ireland was shear genius. If that goal dose not get goal of the year then someone shall have to do something really special.
But in saying that I am a little bewildered with the comments on the city site today in the interview with Ireland regarding the goal. That the manager had asked Ireland to stay back. Ireland was the second highest scorer last season and player of the year.
Lets face it you cant ask a talent like that to hold back or someone with Irelands scoring ability to not score goals.
If the likes of Ronaldo had scored that goal it would be down as goal of the season and the pundits would still be on about it next season.
Yes City have made the start that all managers want to make and even if they don’t see it Sir Alex sounded a little worried regarding the united result. Liverpool went down with nothing to offer. Chelsea scraped a win. Arsenal had a good day out or should one say Everton never showed up.

Three of the so-called top four won but not convincingly and Liverpool had nothing to offer. With Everton going into melt down.
So maybe the message is getting trough to the so-called top four. That the seemingly self-appointed right they have bestowed upon themselves of having the only rights to be in the top four. Is open to new members and City if they can get their defence sorted shall be a fully paid up member of the top four. In time the blue Moon will be the one they shall have to look to the top to see.
