Hi there

I have registered on your forum as I need your help. My friend at work is a big City fan and I have been to a few games this season and he pointed me your way.

I was hoping to post the text below in a thread in your general football forum but having registered I still cannot post so I am asking you if you wold consider posting this for us and maybe making it a sticky for a few days at least?? We would be eternally grateful and we are contacting every fans forum in the country at present to ask the same

As fellow Football Fans we need some help over at Blackpool

For the last 10 months a fan has been in legal wars with the owners of Blackpool Football Club – the despised Oyston family

This week the fan has had to settle out of court to the tune of £20,000 plus 10k in his own costs as he could not afford to take the risk of having his day in court as the Oystons were going to claim £150,000. The law in the UK for libel is heavily weighted towards the rich rather than the just

I have provided a link below to an online support fund where we are asking all football fans in England to share and donate any small amount towards this fight. The Oystons seem to take great pleasure in suing retired pensioners.

Even if you cannot afford to donate please share with all your fellow football fans on facebook, twitter, via email and any other means so we can try to help

Many thanks for listening and link to the support fund is below

May I just say thank you so much. We are in a real war with the owners and we need so much help. You don't know the half of what has been going on. If even 4000 fans donated 5 pounds we could raise enough to help this pensioner out

Also a list below of whats been going on...

All in one place. For any journalist, and to help any defense of anyone being sued by the oystons (karl if you dont like me helping people sue me) or anyone wanting to read their shame. Please feel free to add any that are missing. This Proves that a few messages arnt reaching as far as the papers. and have little effect on people spending or not spending, and is definitely not hurting his reputation or lack of.

Here is a link to a thread which details every single issue to date

It should also be noted Oystons are trying to close this forum down by suing the owner for £150,000 - case ongoing...

Very good luck with this mate an I hope you get the heart of your club back.
6 players are unavailable for selection at the weekend something is badly wrong.
All this talk about FFP and the fit and proper test hasn't helped you and your fellow fans at all has it?

Not sure this is the right thread to derail to have a pop at someone Winter.

101 is obviously a returning poster, we've all made mistakes in the past and whoever he is doesn't really matter. You seem to have am axe to grind and with so few posts are also perhaps hiding as you must have a username on the other forum.

If you are slagging this guy off for 'hiding' behind a new name maybe you should come out of the shadows and use your regular name on the other site.

I have no affiliation to 101 whatsoever.

Re Blackpool....its a disgrace, the media (although the OP has posted quite of few links) not to mention the FA have let Oyston off very lightly allegedly.

Hi all

I just wanted once again to say thankyou to all those who have donated and shared this. We are over twelve grand now with only eight to go to help this retired fan out.

We will never give in until our owners are chased out of our club and hopefully out of our town forever

Good luck for the rest of the season

can't stand Blackpool....

That's not really the point is it ?

And what is it you can't stand ? The fans ? The Chairman ? The town ?

This is about a wealthy bully suing a pensioner who has little or no money. Who can call someone a idiot without himself being sued. Who can destroy the heart and soul of a football club.

Hi there

Just a quick update. we reached the 20k target this morning and I wanted to thank those on this forum who helped.

Any additional funds raised are to be pooled into our justice4fans fund that helps out those greatest in need facing litigation from the Oyston family. They seem to be on a huge mission at present to alienate every one of us..

Many thanks once again and congrats for a good win yesterday
