Block 126 closing next season

This is the block my dad sits in and is the little narrow one that runs up from behind the dug outs up to the media section. He is gutted as there are a group of them who have all sat together since Maine Road and who like other people have said have consistently paid the top prices in the ground. They have been told they'll be relocated but realistically where in the ground is there going to be a dozen or so tickets all together in a group? Some of them are knocking on a bit and with the best will in the world won't be wanting to trek up to the 3rd tier so they are all going to be split up.
I know my sentiments have already been echoed on this and other threads when people have been moved but I just find it really sad that this is the way it seems to be going.

They do take the piss dont they. Still, get on the phone and get a promise of fair treatment. Besides, we will have a 4th tier in about 10 years :-)

I know of a family who sits in 126. A nice lady who has been supporting the club for many decades sits right in front of the media. She is 90 as I was told by one of her family and is a vocal fan. I hope the club gives her and her family a much better spot with great view or just give her the hospitality seats.

I'd love the club to tackle this problem by creating 'unreserved seating areas'. You buy a season ticket for a specific block and then its a case of get there early if you want to sit with your mates. That would get people in the seats earlier and help with the atmosphere - especially in the South Stand.

Let's all wait and see what is going to happen next season, before we start to complain. After all I was speaking to one of the guys responsible for the building of the new South Stand, and he said to me that the season after next the North Stand will be expanded so that should have been this season. So let us all calm down and see what will happen next season.

May be something to think about if safe standing goes ahead

We have 3 seats in block 126. This will be my 45th season at City, and I'm pissed off that we will be moved, (dumped), without any thought, to somewhere that someone has decided is satisfactory, so some corporate company can take a non football fan client on a jolly.

Happened to me the season before last - absolutely no assistance nor consideration by the club that of course values us so highly - I was on holiday when you had to rearrange and was offered a crappy seat up in a corner of the gods on my return. This after having my seat and it's Maine Rd equivalent for 20 plus yrs.
I had no alternative but to pay a ridiculous price for some decent seats - and quite frankly, the way we are treated in there is shoddy too - lack of communication and a 3% price increase!
Unless you are a sponsor, useful to the club or really paying the big bucks they couldn't give a sh!t.
I hear all this "top bloke" nonsense about Danny Wilson because he gets someone in difficult or special circumstances a tkt for the match - well of course he does, who wouldn't? - Yes it's all very heart warming but meanwhile he presides over one of the most inefficient, unsympathetic and alienating departments of this club.
Cityzens - Hahaha

Gutted for you. Nothing is sacro-sanct here when money is on offer. Ever so sad.

We take the piss out of the rages for being "armchair" fans, but that will be us soon. Ive fucked off my season ticket this year, other things mean i cant afford it. Il try next season but i do think the last couple of seasons have been the beginning of the end for me

I was moved out of 212 when the south stand wS expanded. The club wrote to me and offered me any non-corporate seat in the ground for the same price as what I was paying. I took one in 207. No complaints from me. Not sure why this policy has changed and/or it wasn't offered to the OP

Will the people who go in the new hospitality area with the glass wall to see inside the tunnel be sat in 126 then ?

Spoke to supporter services this morning. Absolutely no confidence in them whatsoever. Basically they just repeat what's on the letter.
He couldn't give me a number of how many people were affected, just said a few hundred. So that means a few hundred in a race to get relocated to the few similar seats available in 125 or the East stand

I can't imagine they suddenly decided in a flash of inspiration to do this. So why wait until the tickets are being sent out to tell the people affected?

Why not send a letter telling them a couple of months ago and offering them available seats then?

Yet again it shows a contempt for the fans and appalling customer service.

Exactly this
There have been a couple of opportunities to move in the last season and there was plenty of availability
Now been told the only availability is the front three rows so we can get pissed wet through or the back rows of the third tier.

Not nice, is it?

I'm not so much bothered by the moving, more e timing.
My wife and two of our children are in the next block.
I've been trying for ten years to,get us all closer together. Last year two tickets became available in front of her which would have been ideal, but Citynsaid we didn't have priority, yet the tickets went to a newbie! Now it looks as though we'll end up on different levels, so much for it being a 'family experience'.
