Blow away the cobwebs

Right, it's been a very up and down start to the season with no real momentum to our play due to lots of factors, injuries, loss of form, bizarre team selection and lots of other reasons but let's have today as the start of something big. Let's blow away the cobwebs, back to basics and play as a team. Solid defending, creativity in midfield, sublime finishing up top mixed with passion and fight. We've got players with the capability to out play the majority of teams out there but we need to graft and have confidence in one another. As fans we play our part too, in whatever way you see fit. When we won the FA Cup in 2011 and League in 2012 you could feel the togetherness and we've lost our way, so let's have it back from both sides, players and fans, fans and players. I for one am looking forward to tonight, regardless of what people's thoughts are of the Champions League. We're playing a team who have just beat Bayern Munich, let's send out a message, City are back.

It won't harm the players that's for sure. But l doubt it'll happen. Expect more booing other than the CL anthem. And that's from the ones that actually will show up. Hardly fortress atmosphere in the Etihad nowadays. And this while nearly every football fan wants to be in our position.
