Does anyone know why the club do not replace the blue light bulbs on the top of the stanchions on the stadium. I thought they might have when we had the south stand extended. Surely you just need a big cherry picker. They started to go almost immediately we moved in and now there's is just one left.

lets hope they dont replace with red ones like other high buildings

The cables that powered the lights were destroyed by pecking birds. Also the cherry picker needed for the job is scandolouslg expensive. From memory it was something like 15k a week back in 2002 and was one of only a couple in Europe of that scale.

It's a bigger job than you would think to sort!

Can't someone just shimmy up the stanchions with a lightbulb in their gob?

What about hiring those guys who broke into the stadium and climbed onto the roof?

Yeah, get that fella that went on the stadium illegally. Make him an offer he can't refuse "get up that you little bastard and we won't sue the bollocks of ya, off you pop"

Edit: @NorCalBlue beat me to it :-)

Also at 15k+ for a week, I can't quite believe our boss couldn't afford to buy our own and park it up round the back for when needed lol and also find some bird resistant cable while he is at it.

Edit three of us at the same time lol

Out of interest how high do you think the stanchions are?

You would think a roped access team would be able to do the job. Much cheaper.

Broke the first rule of CDM; don't build anything you can't safely maintain.
