Blue Moon Playlist Review Club - Season 2 - Episode 27 - Out on blue 6 - Gone Too Soon (pg 438)

Foo Fighters: “Exhausted”.

The end of a tiring difficult couple of weeks was topped off by a near sleepless night.

We spent the weekend moving loads of possessions into furnished rental accommodation about 10 miles from our actual home, which we had to vacate in a hurry due to the possibility of sewer flooding - thanks River Thames & Thames Water. Whilst the water didn’t come through the floors it came within millimetres of doing so. Consequently the house is not currently habitable, in fact it is full of industrial strength dehumidifying equipment and the scent of a swamp.

We’ve spent the last two weeks living with our very wonderful neighbours whilst the insurance company sorted out alternative accommodation.

All very stressful and unsettling, and not just for the humans: our dogs woke me up barking at about 2 a.m. and not much sleep was had thereafter. An early night beckons.
That sounds grim - hopefully you get sorted soon enough. Decent song pick though :)

I got woken up at 7am this morning by my Wife telling me that she was working from home and therefore would give the dog his morning walk. She went on to say that I should get some sleep as I looked 'knackered '. When I pointed out that she had woken me up to tell me to get some sleep she said nothing and walked off.

Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin sprung to mind.

Woke up in a state this morning. Had a nightmare about being deported to Rwanda and all my money was stolen. Good news is it was just a dream. I’m still broke and living in the Black Country :)

Poor Boy A Long Way From Home - The Black Keys

Great album if anyone enjoys this track

Good choice. The volume of appearances by The Black Keys in these threads should be higher than it is given how many people have expressed a liking.

At the risk of stereotyping, living in the Black Country plays nicely into your music tastes. I live a bit to the east of the Black Country where the music tastes are somewhat more effete and there's a bit more of a folk dancing round the maypole vibe.

Big Keys fan - prefer the older stuff but I enjoy the new music they put out. Delta Kream was a great throwback to their roots.
Stereotype away… we’ve got some great near neighbours. Great music in these parts

I've got their first album and then didn't buy any more. No idea why. That will be rectified real soon.
I live a bit more east of the black country and while there is less maypole there is more Bauhaus.

Working in the coldest part of the house and can't be arsed to go and put the heating back on.

My hands are probably colder than my heart but musically this probably sums up my mood quite well.
