Bluemoon Angling Thread

It was windy on the Blackloch yesterday. The Blackloch is situated on some godforsaken moor in the middle of a triangle made up of Falkirk, Glasgow and Edinburgh. A circular piece of water with no discerning features or bays on a high moor in strong wind does not make for a comfortable day. If I rode horses, I would liken the fishing experience to a eight hour gallop whilst manipulating rod and line back at forward at speed. This morning my poor aged body feels like it has gone ten rounds with a competent welterweight.

oh the fishing I hear you ask?
It was shite and I blanked (again).

Not likely as long as you have a good sense of smell!
Are you staying in Pitlochry? The Moulin Inn used to be fun.

A few miles out.
We managed a few salmon last season, although it was a little later.
Hoping a few grilse will be running at this time.

Just back from an evening session on The Ribble. It was a damp, gloomy evening and the river had pace but no colour. I had a barbel of around 7lb first cast, lots of signs of fish on both rods but it took until dusk before I hit another fish, which came off quickly. That was it.
