Awkward buggers The lot of them :-)The most rolling I’ve ever seen was when I used to fish The Wharfe and it was high. Must be a Yorkshire thing.

Lovely evening for it. Hope you get one.
Better luck next time mate.Didn't get a sniff of a barbel but, remarkably, caught a bream. Nearly came a cropper when the welding on my chair gave way catastrophically and I almost got a sharp piece of metal up my arse. That would have taken some explaining in casualty.
Anyway, ordered the same one again and it's around £50 more expensive than it was just under 2 years ago.

My car is a shit tip but I’m a very organised angler. I’ve had to be. Because I fish a lot of different methods I’ve got a lot of gear. The way I’ve organised myself is that I have four complete setups -including full rucksacks and rod bags, each for different types of fishing. I also have a full cupboard which contains bits and bats which I buy in bulk. Plenty of things overlap and I have several of, one or two in each rucksack; like head torches, scales, baiting needles etc.How tidy are you as an angler and how well organised is your tackle box? Following many years of being a bit disorganised (read untidy slob). I decided to straighten my self out and be super efficient on the water. Hence I have completely reorganised my tackle box and fitted it with all sorts of containers so there is a place for everything and I can find stuff easily. So for the first time all my lines, reels, flies, paraphanalia, first aid box is in my fishing box. I also bought an industrial trolley to make lugging the tons of kit from car to boat easier

Has anyone else got some super clever efficiency tips?
Wow, that’s a whole different level of complexity over fly fishing. 4 rods see me fine for all the fishing I do. However, with boat fishing my kit consists:My car is a shit tip but I’m a very organised angler. I’ve had to be. Because I fish a lot of different methods I’ve got a lot of gear. My tackle takes up most of our double garage. I know it sounds excessive but as a naturally disorganised all rounder , when I was having to sort a tackle box every time I went out, I’d end up on the bank without scissors or an unhooking mat or something important.
I suspect I’ve got over £10k’s worth of tackle at new value. The carp gear is by far the most valuable. No idea how many rods but maybe 15 or so.
EDIT: actually just totted up my rods in my head and it’s more than 25.

Yeah I looked at that and in hindsight it would have worked. Might have struggled to get everything on mind. How does it cope with rough terrain?Tackle tart; )
I can't say how much my gear is worth but it ain't cheap. I have enough tackle to see my life out without the need to add gear for adding sake.

It's pretty good, especially when wheels are adjusted to wide but it's all about strapping your gear down properly. I have a big tackle bag and a chair and my holdall i take is mostly a two rod one. Gonna have fun taking my Nash Wideboy bed chair and bivvy on a long walk, may have to invest in a carp gear type trolley because the bed chair is huge.Yeah I looked at that and in hindsight it would have worked. Bloody hell. So how on earth do you lug all that stuff round the U.K. and get it to your favourite peg?Brilliant, that's the same as me though no matter how many times I try to rationalise my kit, something is always missing.
I have a complete set at my mum's up in Manchester too in case I succumb to an impulse foray when I'm visiting.
As for how many rods I've got, I have no idea. As well as the stuff in my garage and in my mum's cellar, I have stuff in Portugal (including an original Grey's Prodigy barbel rod which I must repatriate) and a whole host of stuff in my mate's bothie. We have enough between us to open a shop. No obsolete reel ever gets thrown away.
In a rare attempt to be charitable I recently gave my mate's brother a lovely 12ft float rod customised on a Harrison blank. I'd had it over 20 years. He broke it within the month so never again.
Here's a picture of just the bait bins in my garage to give you some idea !

I never buy the most expensive gear mate and I never replace until I have to. I’ve just got absolutely fucking loads of it. I probably average about £100 a rod and £80 a reel, some of my rucksacks are falling to bits. But I’ve got three carp rods with reels; three old carp rods with knackered reels, a spod rod and reel, a marker rod and reel, four barbel rods with two reels, a chub/feeder rod, a trotting rod with centre pin, an ultralight lure rod and reel, a pike lure rod and reel, two fixed spool reels for trotting etc, two whips for my boys (and catching livebaits), the list just goes on and on and on. A 15 year old bivvy and bed chair , 20 year old rod pod, three 12 year old bite alarms, 3 sets of waders, a river tripod, a box of perch lures, a box of pike lures, 5-6 different sized landing nets, etc etc etc. I couldn’t even begin to calculate the original cost of some of this stuff which I’ve built up over decades and decades.Tackle tart; )

Strongly advise you not to bother. See my post above. I think they are designed for the little match style jewellery box setups . No disprespect to BMR of course ;-)Yeah I looked at that and in hindsight it would have worked. Might have struggled to get everything on mind. How does it cope with rough terrain?
I’ve just taken photos of the piles of chaos in my garage but they are showing as “too big” on here. Let’s just say that you are a lot better organised than me!Brilliant, that's the same as me though no matter how many times I try to rationalise my kit, something is always missing.

Just had a look at carp barrows. You can even get powered ones!Strongly advise you not to bother. See my post above. I think they are designed for the little match style jewellery box setups . No disprespect to BMR of course ;-)
Haha. I’ve seen those. I only use the barrow for long stay carp fishing and even then I have to do two trips. For barbel fishing I hoik it all on my back.Just had a look at carp barrows. You can even get powered ones!
yeah, it was the hoiking on and off a boat, boat to car, car to upstairs I got fed up with. Must be getting old :-(Haha. I’ve seen those. I only use the barrow for long stay carp fishing and even then I have to do two trips. For barbel fishing I hoik it all on my back.
