Can anyone offer any advice why I am constantly getting this message from windows and then having to reload the site. Get it occasionally on other sites but its every time I try and move topic/index on here. Driving me up the wall.
Recently changed anti virus from AVG to Avast and installed 360 Amigo clean up if they could be a factor.

HELP. Please.

Which browser are you using? Do you have any addons or toolbars installed? Clear your cache and cookies for starters.

IE browser, I know people on here don't like it but it has always been ok for me. On it now at g/f's on laptop and all is fine.
As a novice, how do I clear cahes and cookies please? Google toolbar.

Click on the little gear icon or the tools menu and select 'internet options'. Then 'delete history'.

It's been so long since I used IE that I can't remember! However, I would recommend downloading CCleaner from here: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download</a>

Be careful when you install it, as I think the free version may try to install some sort of bloatware. Safe, but unneeded. Just uncheck the box that says "install xyz toolbar" or whatever. I would set it up as below for the first group of items on the list. Certainly items 1,2,3, & 5. Personally, I delete everything except "saved passwords" for Firefox.
Run it once a day, or at any time when you are experiencing similar problems. Close your browser before running it.

Thanks guys I'll give those a try tomorrow. Currently have CCC installed but don't run it often. Fingers crossed.
