We're back!! After BimboBob secured the maiden title in 2012 in November we move on to another exciting year in golf. We resume from our little winter break in less than 2 weeks so with the entry changes I've made I thought I'd give you a little bit of time to suss it out and make up your team over christmas and new year. Hopefully we'll get more than the 34 teams we had last year.

We'll start with the team creation. This year will be different as we had a little bit of difficulty with so many good golfers being ignored in the team selection last year, hence the wildcards which weren't ideal. This year you will have to balance a budget and pick and choose your players wisely, and I reserve the right to remove a player from the selection process if he is being over-selected. I've broken it down to make it simple for you.

You will pick:

1 golfer from the top 10 in the World Rankings.
1 golfer from 11-25 in the World Rankings.
1 golfer from 26-50 in the World Rankings.
1 golfer from 51-100 in the World Rankings.
1 golfer from outside the top 100 in the World Rankings.

All with a budget of £160m, the budget will make more sense below. I have split up the golfers from each section and listed them below to make it easy for you, we'll start with the top 10:

Pick 1 golfer from the list below

1) Rory McIlroy NIR-£65m.
2) Luke Donald ENG-£55m.
3) Tiger Woods USA-£60m.
4) Justin Rose ENG-£55m.

7) Lee Westwood ENG-£50m.
8) Bubba Watson USA-£45m.
9) Jason Dufner USA-£45m.
10) Brandt Snedeker USA-£45m.

Right, once you have done that(or at least read it), you will now go to the 11-25 section and pick another golfer:

11) Webb Simpson USA-£45m.
12) Ian Poulter ENG-£40m.
13) Keegan Bradley USA-£45m.
14) Charl Schwartzel RSA-£45m.
15) Graeme McDowell NIR-£50m.

22) Bo Van Pelt USA-£35m.
23) Dustin Johnson USA-£45m.

The points system and rules are largely the same as last year, the only change is that this year there is a bonus for all of your golfers winning a tournament. Here are the Points and other admin:

Points

Unlike the F1 every tournament has a different weighting in the season and stature, so I will be categorising each tournament to make sure that the biggest tournaments have the most points on offer.

Tournaments will be categorised on their prestige, the strength of field, prize money, the course, the defending champion and a few other factors. The category of the week's tournaments will be announced on the monday before the tournament.

Once the points falls to 100(excluding category F tournaments) the points will descend by 5 points per position till they reach 0, in the case of category F tournaments this will happen after 50 points.

Surely as winner and reigning champion I should be allowed first dibs?

I think, considering I spend plenty of time each week setting it up and then updating it, and you then check my updates once a week by reading for a couple of seconds, that maybe, just maybe, I should get first dibs? ;P.
