Bobby Duncan

Theres a lot of assumptions there.

Maybe hes just a kid who got persuaded to join his childhood club that his cousin played for thinking that hed be getting game time.

Then, when it became clear that promise was a lie, he asked to leave, they said no. His agent found some buyers, Liverpool said no. Now he's being bullied by Liverpool and his agent has taken it public because it's the smart thing to do - get a spotlight on the situation, play up the kid being depressed etc.

The agent seems like a bit of a chancer, but he was Kolo Toure's agent and he brokered the deal for Antonio Rudiger for Chelsea, so he's not a complete amateur despite the tweets dug up today.

I think there are a lot of assumptions there.

There are (I did just edit in I'm making my own assumptions) but I dont think it's less likely than the kid being a prick.

Fact is, Duncan is a very, very good player and Liverpool are the club he must have dreamed of playing for given the family connection.

So for him to try and force his way out, something must have gone seriously wrong.

The money angle doesn't make sense to me given he would have been given a stupid wage for a kid when Liverpool poached him from us, plus he's only 18 months away from his contract running out and he knows people like Sancho have been offered 30k/week by top 6 clubs before making a debut.

So what makes a kid fall out with his boyhood club if it's not money?

Yes , he looks a quality finisher, but does he need to change contracts every year to prove it . and do you think he will make it to the top level or make a fortune not making it.

What is Slippy G doing in this? - surely he should be pouring oil on troubled waters and keeping his gobby mate on a short leash.

The player does look quality and I hope that he can come back from this - the hate from dipper fans will follow him for the rest of his life.

Not sure why Carragher has waded into the argument. Twitter is a great platform for morons.
He's spat on kids before now he's decided to shit on them.

I blame the Chelsea fans masquerading as Liverpool officials...

Sterling has alluded to this type of bullying at the Dippers. Contrast Sancho and Diaz.

I don’t think anyone should criticise the player . He’s only a young lad. It’s his agent and all the others on Twitter that are messing with him now.

If I was him I’d join a bundesliga side and get some game time. I think he’s pretty talented

Well, we get another rare taste of what it means to go against the juggernaut that is Liverpool. The agent is universally panned and everybody takes the club's side. You'd have had better luck speaking out again Stalin at the time.

I'm not saying the agent's done right here, and he seems a character to say the least, but that's besides the point.
