Can anyone confirm that the Bobby McDonald coaching in Scotland (youth football) is the same guy who played for City? I'm trying to track him down for an article and not been able to prove it conclusively yet.

Anyone from Aberdeen out there who can confirm/deny? The guy I'm looking at seems to be a coach at Aberdeen's academy.

Thanks,

Gary

Last time I saw him he was busking with Elvis on the Moscow underground. Hope this helps!

Gary- from his wiki page:

When he returned to Scotland he worked for a number of senior clubs in a coaching capacity before eventually successfully creating his own 'Academies of Football'. He still works on a self employed basis coaching for a number of senior clubs, local authorities & councils throughout the UK.

So, i'd imagine it's a strong possibility, however it also says Coventry City played 'an adventurous game' in the late '70s. I only remember them coming to Maine Road for a draw, usually on a wet Wednesday night.

The wiki stuff seems to have been lifted off another site but the original site has some confusion on it.

The "Academies of Football" line is wrong but it does look like he has a number of academy style activities running/involved with.

Found this, contains a profile pic and further info. This guys hairline is the same as our Bobby's was in early 80's.

Yes. This is the guy I think is the same man. I've left him telephone messages etc. so hopefully.... He's also a coach at Aberdeen FC (under 11s).
