Boiler packed up

My boiler just packed up - says flame failure have tired to reset few times now making loud naoise so turned off

of course coldest night for ages and landlady says she won't be able to get anyone til tomorrow

I know mate my boss at worked replaced his recently - this must still be under warranty as no more than 6 months old but landlady didn't sound to happy when I rang her

its more than likely the thermocouple, this is a copper like wire that sits in the pilot light to act as a safety device, the thermocouple senses the pilot light is lit

Can't knock her though been here 3 years and had new cooker, fridge freezer and boiler without a rent increase - can't put it up now until next January as contract goes Jan-Jan

has it been freezing near you today?

if so it could be the condensate pipe as its a new boiler, if the pipe's frozen it won't allow the flame to start and comes up as a flame failure
