Has anyone had any dealings with these, I'm thinking of replacing the boiler and they look to be offering a good deal

Just had a quote from the above firm, £20.38 a month for 10 years = £2,445.60 with a 10 year warranty for a new fitted Worcester-Bosch . I've been looking at cover from BG and that's £10.50 a month anyway.

^^^ @ Stoner , he`s asking if you have a cylinder of stored water . Similar to the old copper cylinder but with a rake of controls . Or is your boiler Instantanious (heats up water as needed ) ala combi, condensing, or old fashioned water heater ,mate .

OK and thanks. it's a mains fed condensing/combi. No tank in the loft.

Mine is a bit like Stoners, to get a bath of hot water you have to have the hot tap on really slow, just above a trickle.

It never used to be like that, just since december'ish

24kw glow-worm @ £500 +vat in city plumbing. Not bad value

there not the best pal, vailliant or worcester all the way.

think the weissman have a 7 year warranty on them also, which is good.

true mate ,I`ve seen more faults on worcester boilers though, I only recommend vaillant and wiesmann to be honest. Glow worm and worcester are like a fords . Vaillant and viessmann are the mercedes ,bmw of the boiler world, if you get my meaning . and ideal ,biasi, potterton are daewoo ; )

its all about opinions pal! vaillants have a prob at the moment with pumps (and you can t use another head!?) also heat/exch probs! viessman have very little backup when they do go wrong!

worcesters have a 5 or 7 yr warranty and their figures are a 3% failure rate during warranty period. I ve fitted 100's of worcesters and never had a prob!!

personally agree with the other poster, in general worcester/vaillant are best. I wouldn t fit any bouiler that doesn t have their own engineers (many use subbys)

viessman are new to this country, only time will tell. same with atag, broag etc!

readers steer clear of baxi, vokera, sime, ravenheat, biasi, heatline and saunier duvall !!

i love boiler threads!

Lol I knew you wouldn't let that one go Paul.

For what it's worth I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either a Worcester or Vaillant, Viessmann ? Not too sure about the standard boilers you'd see in your average home, only ever fitted the huge floor standing f*ckers with a bloke who worked abroad fitting them, he rated them very highly, initially technical support over here was quite poor, but it's getting better and they are certain to be a better option than your Glow-worms and Ravenheats, Ravenheats lol.
