It was I didn't see that rule, myself I would have had Bellamy replace Jo, seeing as Jo isn't even at the club right now. Seems a bit of a no brainer to me that one, a player that may not regain fitness over one thats not at the club and thus can't play anyway.

Kelvin Etuhu makes his comeback from a long-term hamstring injury in tonight’s reserve derby at Altrincham.

The midfielder started City’s opening game of the Barclays Premier League season at Villa Park but has been seen seldom since, with his last appearance being in the 3-0 win over West Ham in August.

Valeri Bojinov continues his comeback from the Achilles injury he picked up minutes before kick-off against Villa on 17thAugust with his second outing for the reserves since returning to fitness.

Kick off at Moss Lane is at 7.00pm.

Team: T Johansen, Obeng, McGivern, Mee, Brown, Kay, Etuhu, Tsiaklis, Ball, Bojinov, Moore.

Subs: Daly, Hartley, Boyata, Trippier.

With no guarantee that Boj will even be fit for the final should we get there I think it would have been insane for Hughes to have chosen Boj.
