I'm not trying to put a downer on today as our attacking play was just a joy to behold.

However Lescott really worries me in the team. I know he played well towards the end of the last season but this isn't a knee jerk reaction because he played poor today he just dosen't fill me with confidence at all. When the ball goes to Kompany I'm confident he can head it away or even play his way out of trouble.

But Lescott is really clumsy, slow to react, and shouldn't be getting out jumped for a header. Was at fault for both goals today and nearly gave them a 3rd goal with him missing a clearence twice. I know he chips in with a few goals at the other end but that really isn't enough to justify his place.

I know I'll get some shit from some of his fans for posting this and thats fine but I feel we really need a better centre back to partner Kompany.

Something was different about city today

Something was indeed different about our play today. every single player was great, including the players some people keep complaining about. I am talking about milner and barry or even dzeko.

I want to hear your thoughts as to what is it that made city perform as they did today.

tempo was the key today, really moving the ball quick and some great movement. very impressed with milner.

what this game tells me is that, whilst he is vital for games like Chelsea, Spurs, United, and European matches etc. NDJ does not need to play every single game this season. The two CMs, Yaya and Barry, played well and our overall play was much more fluid.

with respect to the QPRs, Norwich's, and Blackburn's of the world, our other CMs are more than good enough.

That said, really really hope he is fit for next Sunday.

Are defence was rock soild but past 3 games (including scum match) our defence hasn't been to its top standard hopefully mancini will sort it out again soon

He also said he hopes Nasri isn't the only player that comes in.

After today, I would have a hard time arguing against Coates coming in to provide some competition.

We can't keep buying players.

Admittedly,although Lescott isn't a bad defender,we could do better,however,we will have to go with the current partnership - FFP will dictate that unless we rid ourselves of Kolo......
