Bonfire Night

Is it my imagination or is it just not as popular anymore? It used to be that you'd hear fireworks from September onwards but barely heard or saw any before this weekend. Not many seem to bother these days.
Its a shame, I really used to love it as a child, going to the local, having potato ash and crusty pastry with big crowds at every pub... these days all people seem to do is have a couple cartwheels on their back fence and thats it.

I've had the same conversation first we've had we're last night, puppy can't give a shit

Seen 1 firework display and you've seen them all.
Stand about in the freezing cold watching blue/green/red/yellow lights and loud bangs.
I don't get it and never have.

I've been hearing plenty of fireworks , yet i haven't seen a bonfire stacked up anywhere , like you used to do back in the 'olden days' ....... haven't seen anyone out 'logging' either ..... mind you it can't be easy for todays kids to keep one hand on the computer mouse , and pull a few planks of wood along with the other!

Fings certainly ain't what they used to be !
