Bony (Season long loan at Stoke - Official)

Because of Aguero and Kelechi and we play with one central striker.

Guardiola: "Bony, of course he could come because he made a very good preseason. But the problem is with three strikers to come and maybe not play it's better to stay there and train -- that is the reason why [they were not in the squad]. Bony is a really good guy and he's trained really good so I don't have any complaints about that."
So basically peps saying he's crap but trains well!

Looks likw WHU opted for Zaza. I'd be quite happy if Bony stays because we need cover for Kelechi and Aguero. And this season Bony is fit. That makes a big difference as does a top coach. I think Guardiola likes Bony and he has said as much. It's no disgrace to lose your place to Aguero and Kelechi who is a very talented young player. It amazes me that so few in the media have cottoned on to how good Kelechi is yet they go on and on about other young players who are nowhere near his level.

If were a Sunderland, or a team near the bottom I'd be putting my money in the Bony basket. Here is a player who in the right circumstances would score 15 plus a season. You don't have to have great build up play to get the best out of him. Put it in his general vicinity and he makes an average ball look good, and a good finisher with great hold up play. Not suited perhaps to our game where we need a mobile player. He is worth a lot of money because he will score a lot of goals, but available. That's rare.
Who's this you're on about in the second paragraph, have we been linked with someone?

Remind me what he's been saying about Nasri.

Something about turning up for training overweight. I don't know how many of you have really taken this on board but Bony had Malaria last preseason. I think you should wait and see what he can do this season with a pre-season behind him and a new manager.

He may be very good but he certainly hasn't been when playing in our colours so for me we need to offload and look elsewhere

I'm fairly confident that wherever he goes next he will score plenty of goals but it is going to take a move to get him going again IMO. He has looked totally overwhelmed by playing at a club where there are bigger expectations and if he stays, even if Pep picks him, I just don't see him turning things around.

Seems like Zaza to west ham is done deal, medical today. Reportedly Bilic has confirmed they no longer interested in Bony. Running out of options for Bony!

His best option is to come on and score against West Ham. No Kelechi so likely to be involved.

Pep mentioned there was 3 strikers ahead of him in pre-season, so I'm guess, as Kelechi is likely to be rested for this weekend, we might see Nolito as back up striker.

Just because they are getting Zaza doesn't mean they won't still be in for Bony, on last nights performances they are woefully short up front. They cannot rely on Carroll and I don't think Ayew is the out and out striker they need.

No need. I don't think you will see him in a City shirt ever again.
