Sorry if this has been discussed before. I was thinking of getting Pep-the Evolution for my son for crimbo but wondered of those of you who have read it and Pep Confidential, does the evolution stand alone as a book or is it best to have read confidential first? Are they well written and likely to be of interest to a reasonably literate 17 year old who likes to while away his life playing football manager?

I would recommend Pep Confidential first as the evolution is a continuation, also recommend the Pep Guardiola - Another Way Of Winning by Guillem Balague which I read first

Would really recommend Another Way of Winning as it covers Pep's early life, playing, moving into management and how he developed his style of play. Great read. Make sure you get the new edition as it also includes his decision to join us.
