Never thought I'd ever do this in my lifetime but credit where credit is due to BJ yesterday. His talk about girls and the lack of education they receive in a developing country was bang on the money.

Most people know that the bacteria in water, now along with pneumonia are the largest killers of children in the developing world, but more girls die from them than boys, more girls suffer violence but education cam be their outlet and safety net.

Girls, while the boys are at school, are expected to fetch the family fresh water or look after siblings. This is when girls are at their most vulnerable.
Im not saying the following is linked because girls dont get educated, but if they were safe in school the numbers would significantly drop. In some countries, almost 50% of girls have been sexualy abused by the age of 15, and there are roughly 200m girls that have had a form of FGM done to them.

Well worthy of discussing and actioning, as well as giving credit to Boris at the same time for bringing this to the attention of the world stage.

It's OK BJ talking about it but he has to put his money where his mouth is. He us one of the main advocates of reducing foreign aid.
