Borja Valero?

He's improved a lot the past couple of seasons, but unless he feels he has something to prove, I'm not sure I can see him coming back to England. If I was him, I'd stay in Spain.

I agree. He's an excellent passer of the ball and very technical (how I like it :-))but I think there are better all-around players.

He's been around for a while this guy, how old is he now?
 
Maybe Mancini wants some inexpensive players who will accept a "squad" role but who can play our style well? Valero might fit the billing in the same way Hargreaves was supposed to this season but didn't because of his fitness problems.

He's only just turned 27 even though he looks much older and that he got a Spain cap last year shows that he has improved a lot since West Brom.

He's a good player, but there are better. Honestly think he would walk into our midfield though, and give us a jolt of creativity. Any good passer would imo.
