Our u18s are away against Middlesbrough who have a good track record at youth level, it won't be an easy game and with a good few of our kids away for the u17s World Cup, it'll be a good chance to see how others step up here's the league standings going into it...

We're 5 points clear of the mini rags (with a game in hand on them) and Newcastle, while our opponents Middlesbrough along with Forest are currently 6 points behind us.

I've always thought that GD will be a fair indicator (after points obviously) of where teams will end up by the end of the season, that's a huge advantage to us already.

Yep we're close to 3 difference for every game won this season is madness, hopefully we carry on being brutally efficient today and beat these on the pitch as I've never liked Middlesbrough from an early age.

Remember their moronic fans trying to storm the north stand (I think) in the 90s at Maine Road, many of them got proper battered as I remember it and even the police seemed extra slow to intervene.

Obviously it's not the same being a youth game but I always hope we hammer them.

Boro always seem to have decent youth teams but then never really go on to have many top flight players. I can only really think of Downing and Adam Johnson that had decent premier league career and that's going back 20 years since they came through. There was another one that played for West Brom that came from that era too, can't remember his name though

Can't understand why Dumbar-McDonald was taken off. Apart from the 2 goals he was City's main threat throughout the game. Unless he had signalled to the bench that he'd received a knock & was struggling a bit.

Tavernier a Bournemouth is a good player. I am sure Hayden Hackney will play premier league next season.

He appeared to take a knock when he scored, and seemed to be limping a little when walking back for kickoff.

Two clean sheets in a row after no clean sheet since the opening game, which is very pleasing.
