May have been that Stones played carrying an injury to ensure Vinny did not play a full ninety minutes? I am hoping the fact that KDB sat the rest of the match out rather than having treatment is a good sign.

Absolutely brilliant performance from a tired City. In control throughout the game despite not being scintillating. Kompany always gives us a lift. And well done Mahrez for stepping up when needed.

A tired player is an injury waiting to happen. We've played loads of games with world cup players who have hardly had a rest.

Huge three points after a tiring couple of weeks, we are running on empty on energy and numbers and desperately need this rest.

KDB, Stones, Jesus and obviously Mendy are becoming a huge problem. It's no good having great players who are always injured. I think Pep will have a big look at it close season, some uncomfortable decisions may have to be made.

Credit to the lads though in spite of everything one cup in the bag and pressure on the dippers. I expect them to win comfortably tomorrow but it would be wonderful if they drop points.
