When i used to race bikes i would train and race 6 times a week. Sometimes i would race tuesday/thursday plus saturday and sunday and that is flat out over 10/25/50.

You cannot compare cycling and football.
But professional players should be able to play twice a week. That’s also why we pay a huge medical team.

Knowing our LC starting 11 over the years it’ll be a mix of players that need minutes, players that are able to play well when fixtures are piling up, and the odd talented youth player that deserves to be out there.
So I expect a team that is much stronger than most in here expect or want to see.

Don't think that's the case this year around ... we have 7 first team players injured/out last night ... and after Monday night, this games comes Thursday and we play again in the league on Sunday ... Pep simply has no choice but to play kids for this one else he won't have players for Leicester game on Sunday ... also doesn't help that we just played our first game of the season, and without a pre-season and second-half last night showed all that hard work of the first half and how we were a big leggy and not as match-fit ... so this mid week and the next round being next mid-week again sandwiched between PL games ... I think these next two rounds would be mostly kids with an odd first team player in (opposite of what it's been where only 1-2 kids would get in) and then if we get through these two games and into the QF then it'd revert back to the template of last few years ... as that round isn't till December and then a one-off semi in January (instead of the two-legged ties of the past).
