We were different class from the first minute and in all honesty, it was just a case of how many. We didn't even have to break sweat and we were absolutely unplayable. Bournemouth didn't even try to make it difficult, or if they did we make it look easy!

To be honest, I always think the worse possible time to play the newly promoted clubs is either in the first 5 games of the season, or the last 5. In the middle, they take a beating but at the start and end they play for their lives. At the start of the season they are full of optimism and hunger and can win some surprising games - Fulham v Liverpool and us v Norwich the other year for example. In all honesty, if we'd have played against 15 Bournemouth players it wouldn't have mattered, we blew them apart. I bet Pep is annoyed it was only 4-0!

KdB was MOTM and was absolutely superb wasn't be. His goal was just brilliant and it looks like he's carrying his form on from last season which is great to see. It was also good to see Ake getting another game as I do think it will do his confidence some good having a good run.

Haaland did brilliantly to set up Gundogan. He had no right being able to do that with so many defenders around him, but that strength and touch were world class - it's literally what we've lacked up front now for years. In some ways, it reminded me of Balotelli's touch for the Aguero goal! I know Haaland didn't score, but it's just a matter of time before he 'clicks' with the team and when he does, it's game over. He is going to be a club legend, I can just feel it.

Great start to the season - loads of goals, played a tricky away game at WHU and home against a newly promoted team and no goals conceded. Can't fault it at all!

COME ON CITY!!

Just had a read on the bournemouth forum, most appreciated our performance, but a couple saying that we're boring to watch .
I used to think that about peps barca, until they ripped utd apart, and you could appreciate how good they were.
He has educated us on how the game should be played and can't ever see the time when we go back to knocking the ball over the top for someone to chase ever again.
Just seen that Scott Parker said City are the best team he has ever seen. As in ever.

We're still in our pre-season - still warming up, but it's our best start for years. Wait till we hit our normal standard.

Yesterday - the team = brilliant, the behind the scenes running of the club on the football side = colossal, the pre-match = arguably the best anywhere. However, yesterday at the bars on the concourse - found wanting. An elderly guy next to me was suffering in the heat - also had a bad leg. I queued up during the game to get him a drink, then hey presto - no more water - the supply had gone 'warm'........ Thankfully, someone else got him a drink from another bar. In my view the club should have split the folks queuing for beers, pies and soft drinks and had staff on the bar handing out cartons and bottles of water - would have speeded things up. We shouldn't have been queuing for water with the fans buying beers and pies. I feel sorry for the staff on the bar - some were getting a hard time from some fans telling 'em to get a move on. The supervisors were probably unaware that the elderly and those with cardiac conditions and those who have had strokes are especially vulnerable when dehydrated. A lesson to learn maybe?

Absolutely no need for the pre match fireworks etc, do it for a big match yes but not for Bournemouth ffs. Hate all the pre match American shite
I have never seen fireworks or smoke bombs or flares at any American sporting event, ever, prior to the match. Do you know why? Because that's not done in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, or MLS. So you must hate American Shite and pre match fireworks so you just lumped the two together. I get it.
