IMHO, the VAR officials should only have one decision to make, and that is to ask the ref to go to the pitch side screen and look at something.

The on field ref should be accompanied by both managers.

Agree with this (aside from the managers bit). We don't need multipe people reviewing subjective things. We have a Ref. Give them the camera angles and whatever they need and let them decide. Lets hear them on a mic, etc, and it's fine

VAR ineptitude - sheff vying with rags for 5th CL spot (oops), and we know who gained from that goal.
If that episode had happened and sheff benefitted not villa, VAR would have been all over it
